I still dont have a working buildenvironment, since I was told that chdk build with binutils 1.19.1 wont work. So I am trying to get binutils 1.18 to compile.

Can I get in touch with you somehow? Either through WikiMail or some other means?

I think the best way would be to talk through the forum, that way the more experienced guys can guide us and answer our questions if needed and at the same time (as the questions and answers remain on the forum thread) it will help other people trying to port cameras in the future.

Regarding environment, I just use the already prepared gcc 3.4.6 (under windows) which you only need to extract it somewhere and add the bin and lib folders to the PATH environment strings. I've also tried to compile that on windows, wasn't successful, so I just gave up.

Btw, if you need IDA, or the assembly dumps for a720 and a580, let me know and I'll send them to you somehow. Mariush 13:30, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm hoping to have my A580 up and running with CHDK soon...we need it for a class project. Do you have a timeline for completion?
