I did a dumb thing today: I tossed my Canon A590 a-spinning in the air while shooting a video...you know, for a vertigo effect :D
However, my 2GB SD card stopped working after that, and it had CHDK on it!
Bought an 8GB card (gave up on 4 GB, they never seem to WORK), but now, I can't make it BOOTABLE using the Card Tricks, and manually loading the CHDK folder doesn't fool the camera: locking the card...just says "card locked".
I CAN format the card with Card Tricks, but that's it.
What am I doing wrong? Or is the SD card wrong? :(
