zshare.net is unavailable since days - at least from Hungary. If i try to download, it says: "UNDER MAINTENANCE - We are experiencing some technical difficulties. Please come back in a few minutes. We apologize for the inconvenience."

As all the latest CardTrick versions are on zshare, i cannod download any of those. Please upload v1.41 to another fileshare host, thanks.

The latest version i can reach from Sourceforge is 1.34: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=229629

Thanks for the alternative download location, this way i could move on. Unfortunatelly i stuck soon, as CardTricks works only with .zip files, but for my camera (Ixus 80 IS), only .tgz versions (alpha/beta, including the 2 available firware versions) available. I repacked .tgz, then .gz to a zip, but did not worked that way, either; only the files within were expanded to the SD-Card by CardTricks, but did not boot as expected. For the Ixus 80 there is no zip file at the moment because it's not part of the official CHDK build at this point in time. To use the beta versions you should read this post in the forum: SD1100/ixus 80 porting .....
You can use CT to format your SD card & make it bootable, then unzip the .tgz file, unzip the .gz file from inside it, rename the file with your firmware version in the filename to 'diskboot.bin', then copy it to the cameras root (e.g. E:\ ) folder - don't forget: card must be <= 4GB, formatted with FAT16, made bootable & locked...

Thanks again, this way (copying all the folders out of .tgz/.tar AND the proper .bin file renamed to diskboot.bin) it worked perfectly! First i forgot to copy the folders, only the .bin, but CHDK launched that way either, even made an empty folder structure on the camera - only icons were missing and Sokoban game did not started :) Anyhow, thanks for all your efforts, i'm really happy to see CHDK working on my Ixus 80 IS (even if it's just in beta-stage) and sorry for polluting this talk page with information that should be in the forum. This was my last talk here, i'll continue in the proper forum topic. Hardzsi 22:40, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
