ok, just tested my ixus 950 and set shutter override to lots of different stuff, all the time with no results. it stays at 1/1600 speed. who put on the 1/5000 value? where does it come from? is there something extra to set?

• Don't forget: since the original firmware knows nothing about the CHDK overrides, the Canon OSD shows the nearest/lowest/highest value it knows when the settings are beyond the original fw's capabilities. _{Fe50 12:04, 4 July 2009 (UTC)}

[edit] Would like to Help Testing my A570IS CHDK Camera

Am new to digital cameras so would like help setting up my A570IS for testing.

Would also like to make a very basic USB remote cable.

Appreciate any suggestions or comments.

For testing, did you read the page with the chart? At the bottom are methods and links to discussions on how to test your camera.
